The ideal candidate will have experience in supervision within the printing industry and able to work hands-on with machines and on the production floor when necessary. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production within the plant and the efficient planning and scheduling of personnel and equipment to reduce bottle-necks and problems. Education: Associates degree desired or vocational/technical certification preferred Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager, Quality Manager, Client Care Manager, Human Resource Manager
- Supervise the Production team to produce and prioritize jobs
- Organize workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedule and to complete assigned jobs
- Schedule employee work hours
- Prepare, update and communicate the production schedule
- Schedule, pan and conduct regular production meetings
- Manage the coordination and control of all work orders / jobs
- Monitor quality, accuracy and timelines of all orders to ensure client commitments are met through production
- Facilitate departmental cross-training
- Conduct formal performance reviews
- Comply with all OSHA safety requirements
- Schedule and ensure performance of all equipment maintenance following maintenance procedures
- Maintain production control records
- Coordinate and manage all inventory supplies
Requirements: - 3 years experience in supervision in the printing industry
- Associates degree
- Excellent leader, interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills
- Good math skills
- Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
- Familiarity with team building techniques
- Ability to perform all production functions
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
