The ideal candidate will be responsible for pursuing new business, business development and business in production in the automotive interior / exterior plastics industry. Education: High School diploma is required but Bachelors degree preferred Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Create the plan and lead the development for new business
- Plan, lead and manage the quote process for targeted programs to completion by spending time at divisions to understand customer and division requirements
- Ensure purchase orders are correct
- Plan, lead and manage the commercial elements on each program thru the development process
- Ensure program deliverables and timing are understood by the divisions and that customer expectations are met for business in development
- Plan, lead and manage all commercial elements of the program thru launch and production for business in production
- Understand and recommend pricing strategies and manufacturing process efficiencies to maximize profits
- Perform an effective review of customer’s activities to identify situations that may impact business or present product or sales opportunities
- Quote process and commercial negotiation process
- Open Commercial Issues Resolution (identify, track, close)
Requirements: - High School diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred
- 5 years experience in Sales or Account Management in plastic parts - automotive interior/exterior plastic parts (prefer someone out of this industry)
- Willingness / ability to travel up to 2 times a month domestically (trips are 1-2 days)
